PITTSBURGH, Feb. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — While luggage with wheels affords travelers a much easier way to transport bags than hand carrying them, it’s often difficult to fit them in restricted airplane storage. Fortunately, an inventor from Stockbridge, Ga., has come up with a new design that reduces the space required to store them.
He developed a prototype for LUGGAGE WHEEL COLLAPSER to save space in the overhead or below-seat storage/stowaway areas of an airplane. As such, in many cases, it eliminates the need to check carry-on luggage at the gate since it will fit more easily in the overhead compartment of the plane. At the same time, it prevents damage to the luggage wheels while it is stored. Furthermore, it eases the transport or storage of one or more pieces of wheeled luggage. Besides, saving and effort, it is also convenient, effective and affordably priced.
The inventor’s personal observation inspired the idea. "When I travel by air, I see so many people with large wheeled bags that take up too much space in the aircraft overhead compartment and, therefore need to be checked at the gate," he said.
